May 9th and June 9, 2011: Kathleen Wynne and the eternal return of the identical

Palilalia, the compulsive repetition of one’s own words, is a symptiom that may – and in the case of the MTO, definitely does – occur in autism.  And so in May and again in June, Dr. Correa received, forwarded by Thornhill MPP Peter Shurman, two palilalic letters from Transportation Minister Kathleen Wynne – one, dated May 9th, a “response” to a letter from MPP Shurman concerning the 407 Transitway EA; the other, dated June 9th, the “response” to Concord West’s petition to the Ontario Parliament.  The content of these texts, which are near verbatim repetitions of each other and of previous texts we’ve received from the MTO, could be seamlessly flowed into a rap song – The MTO Rap:

We’re the Ministry of Transportation
We’ve heard the concerns of your association
After a full evaluation
We’ve come to the constatation
That you don’t like our planned location
For the intermodal Concord station
This is an obvious demonstration
That your pleas deserve no consideration
But we’ve included them in our documentation
It should also cause you jubilation
That after we’ve finished your extirpation
We have plans for mitigation

Add this final line to the rap:

And if you don’t like it, tough, consider MIGRATION!!!!!
